TVOD is the opposite of subscription video, where consumers purchase content on a pay-per-view basis. There are two sub-categories, known as electronic sell-through (EST), where you pay once to gain permanent access to a piece of content; and download to rent (DTR), where customers access a piece of content for a limited time for a smaller fee.
In simply in TVOD the users can rent or purchase a channel or movies for a limited day or hour for a smaller fee.
What is T Buckets ?
In T buckets you can specify the available transactional video-on-demand options. In the feature, you can specify how many days or hours a user can rent or purchase content with a specific price. So the user can pay the amount and use the VOD for the specified days or hours.
