How to create a SetupOTT VoD?

Follow the steps to create a SetupOTT VoD,

  • Log in to your WHMCS admin panel.
  • Go to Addons.
  • Select setupOTT VoD option.

  • On the redirected page, click the green plus button and then click on the “Create channel” Icon.
  • BASIC
  • TMDB:- If the Movies or Series available under TMDB (The Movie Database) can select them here.
  • Title: This is a mandatory field. Name of the channel group or category. For example, you can add Movies, Sports, Entertainment, etc.
  • Search Tags: You can add this VoD related keywords.
  • Type: This is a mandatory field. Two options are available.
    • Uniserial:- Select, if the content has no sequence parts
    • Series:- Select, if the Movie/TV Show/Series have sequence parts
  • Category:- This is a mandatory field. You can specify the category of the content here.
  • Genre(s): This is a mandatory field. It’s a category that defines a movie/series/content based on its narrative elements.
  • S-Bucket: You can add this VoD to an S-Bucket. So this VoD only available for the product assigned to this bucket. Click here for more info
  • T-Bucket: You can specify how many days or hours a user can rent or purchase this channel at a specific price. So the user can pay the amount and watch.
  • Order: Can order the content as per the order number.

  • Information
  • Release Date: This is a mandatory field. Can specify the release date here.
  • Finale Date: This is a mandatory field. Can specify the Finale date here.
  • Length: This is a mandatory field. Can specify the content length here
  • Language: This is a mandatory field. Specify the content language
  • Maturity Rating: This is a mandatory field. Can recommended audience age groups.
  • Country: This is a mandatory field. Select the country
  • Director: This is a mandatory field. Specify the Director/Directors name
  • Actors: This is a mandatory field. Specify the actor’s name
  • Short Description: This a mandatory field. You need to specify a short description of the channel.
  • Description: You can specify the detailed description of the channel here.
  • Admin Comments:- Can mention Admin comments about the content can mention here.
  • User rating: Can mention the User Rating here.
  • Cover: This is a mandatory field.
    • Portrait: Required Image in Ratio of 0.66-0.74 (Eg. Resolution 700×1000, 1000×1500 etc.)
    • Landscape: Required Image in Ratio of 1.74-1.80 (Eg. Resolution 1280×720, 1920×1080 etc.)
    • Backdrop: Required Image in Ratio of 1.74-1.80 (Eg. Resolution 1280×720, 1920×1080 etc.)

  • Content Settings
  • Publish On: Can set the date and time for publishing the content here.
  • Status: You can select any of these options Publish, Unpublish, Draft, or Stage
  • Downloadable: Can able to download the file, once you enable this option.

  • Featured Item
  • Featured Item: Put a tick mark on the column to enable this feature.
  • Schedule Start: Select a date to stop the advertising.
  • Scheduled Stop: Can schedule the stop date and time for removing this content from the featured list
  • Banner Logo: This is a mandatory field. You need to upload the banner logo. This logo will highlight in the application. The aspect ratio of the logo image is 2:75 to 2.85 which is 1200*480, 1600*570, etc.


  • Video/Seasons/Tracks
  • In case of Series you need to add the seasons and all the episodes.
  • In case of Sequels you need to add the parts.
  • Add File: Add the source files
  • Type: This is a mandatory field. Select Video/Trailer/Subtitle
  • Video/Trailer: Tech: Select the Quality
  • Token Name: If secure token enabled stream, mention the token here
  • URL: Mention HLS Playback URL here
